If you haven’t already, plug your Claude into Hubspot – it’s simple and takes maybe 5 minutes. When you plug Claude in, make sure to give it all necessary permissions. You can literally ask Claude when it can access all necessary data. Here are the ways that I then use Claude in Hubspot:
- Explain why the Lead MQL’d: a super common ask is ‘why did this MQL’? Claude can rapidly review all activity on the record and add a write-up on why the Lead MQL’d. Add a custom field, ‘Claude Why MQL’ and have Claude write to that field to explain why the Lead MQL’d. Include this field in any alerts to reps.
- Explain if the Lead is worth pursuing: Add a field, ‘Claude why pursue’ and have Claude go and research the Lead against what your company sells. Ask Claude to review your website and the Lead’s website to find where there’s an overlapping need. Have Claude write to the new custom field and include this value in any alerts to reps.
- Have Claude draft an initial email: Add a field, ‘Claude Email’ and, if the Lead is worth pursuing’ have Claude write the initial draft email to the Lead. Have Claude write it’s draft to this field and include in any alerts to reps. For all three bullet points above I have a slack alert go to reps once Claude has written to these three fields. Now when reps get alerted to a new MQL they immediately see why the Lead MQL’d, if it’s worth pursuing and if worth pursuing get some idea of an email to send. In some cases I’ve added the Claude Email to an email snippet to make it even easier to immediately email but generally I’ve found reps want to review and write their own email.
- Have Claude run copy and paste reports on command: Lots of orgs on a weekly or monthly basis are copying data from Hubspot reports to a shared PowerPoint presentation. In these cases, I have Claude access the necessary reports but then on command return the data in a copy/paste format so sales management can quickly pull data and with 2 clicks move the data from Hubspot to the PowerPoint presentation
