We designed a custom Stripe-to-Salesforce integration to address inefficiencies in managing payments, subscriptions, and free trials. By creating a Salesforce API endpoint, a Stripe Staging Table, and automated processing jobs, we streamlined workflows, enhanced data accuracy, and eliminated the need to toggle between platforms. This integration enabled centralized operations, actionable reporting, and increased efficiency, allowing businesses to manage their entire customer lifecycle within Salesforce.

The Challenge
Stripe doesn’t natively integrate with Salesforce, creating inefficiencies for sales and success teams who need to manage customer payments, subscriptions, and free trials across both platforms. Without an integration, businesses faced fragmented workflows, inaccurate reporting, and missed opportunities to centralize their operations in Salesforce.

The Solution
We designed and implemented a custom integration to seamlessly connect Stripe with Salesforce. This involved:

  • Creating a custom API endpoint in Salesforce to accept records directly from Stripe.
  • Building a Stripe Staging Table in Salesforce to store and process incoming Stripe records.
  • Developing processing jobs (triggers and scheduled jobs) to automate the handling of Stripe data, enabling actions like:
    • Relating payments to Salesforce Accounts.
    • Creating Opportunities for free trials to assign to sales reps.
    • Updating subscription statuses on Accounts for success team management.

The Results
This custom integration allowed sales and success reps to work exclusively in Salesforce, eliminating the need to toggle between platforms. Key benefits included:
